Notice:
A spindle may only be started
after the display unit has been
detached from the tool.
The display unit is equipped with a safety
device. If the spindle is started with the
unit still attached, the display unit drops off
at a low speed. For reliable operation, the
coupling position must be kept clean at all
times.
In the event of any impairments or notice-
able problems the display unit may not
be used. In such an instance, contact the
manufacturer.

Battery change

The integrated battery has a service life of
approx. 5000 setting cycles. We recom-
mend keeping spare batteries close to hand
(Battery type VARTA Cr 2032). When the
"Low battery" symbol appears on the
display, the batteries will last for about
another 50 setting cycles. If, when switch-
ing on, the display shows fault code E-99
and "Low battery" flashes on and off, the
battery is spent and it has to be replaced.
To replace, pull the battery compartment ⑤
(Fig. 13, 15) out of the display unit, remove
old battery and dispose of properly. Insert
new battery in correct way Fig. 15. Then
slide battery compartment all the way back
into the display unit.
