7.5 Inspecting and cleaning the
plate exchanger
Inspect the plate exchanger at least once a
year.
1. Disconnect the ComfoAir from its power supply.
2. Open the plate exchanger maintenance access
door.
3. Perform the following checks:
■ Contamination of plate exchanger;
■ Damage to plate exchanger;
■ If plate exchanger is badly contaminated, also
check the filters.
4. Resolve any established problems:
■ Use a fin comb to restore the fins;
■ Clean the louvres against the airflow direction
with warm tap water no more than 40°C or
using compressed air of no more than 6 bar.
Do not use a high-pressure hose to clean the
ComfoAir.
5. If no further maintenance is required:
Close the maintenance access doors and turn the
ComfoAir back on.
7.6 Inspecting and cleaning the
fans
Inspect the fans at least once a year.
1. Disconnect the ComfoAir from its power supply.
2. Open the fan maintenance access doors.
3. Perform the following checks:
■ Contamination;
■ Wear and tear;
■ Fixing of the vibration dampers.
4. Resolve any established problems.
5. If no further maintenance is required:
Close the maintenance access doors and turn the
ComfoAir back on.

7.7 Inspecting and cleaning the
battery or batteries
Inspect the battery or batteries at least once
a year.
1. Disconnect the ComfoAir from its power supply.
2. Open the battery maintenance access door.
3. Perform the following checks:
■ Check for corrosion and leakage;
■ Check for soiling of the droplet separator fins;
■ Check for soiling of the leakage tray;
■ Check if the condensation drain is still open by
pouring water into the leakage tray;
■ Check the external siphon visually for
contamination;
■ Check whether the external siphon is properly
connected.
4. Resolve any established problems:
■ Clean the battery surface with a soft brush and
degrease it;
■ Use a fin comb to restore the fins.
5. If no further maintenance is required:
Close the maintenance access doors and turn the
ComfoAir back on.
A direct evaporator contains coolant. Make
sure all work is carried out by a registered
installer. The medium is a coolant that is
contained in the cooling system under
excess pressure.
