Foreword

Read this manual carefully before use.
This manual contains all information required for safe
and optimal installation, operation and maintenance
of the ComfoAir XL, ComfoAir Eco and ComfoAir XL
Eco. The unit is subjected to continual development
and improvement. There is therefore a possibility
that the ComfoAir XL, ComfoAir Eco and ComfoAir
XL Eco differs slightly from the descriptions given.

manual:
Point to watch.
Risk of:
- Damage to the device;
- Performance of the unit is
compromised if instructions are not
observed carefully.

1 Introduction and safety

This manual is intended for fitters and engineers
who fit and maintain the ComfoAir XL, ComfoAir
Eco and ComfoAir XL Eco, hereinafter referred to as
ComfoAir.
Ensure that the engineer can locate this manual
after fitting and after each servicing.
This manual provides greater clarity on the fitting
and maintenance of the ComfoAir. In addition to
this manual, the ComfoAir also includes a software
manual and technical specification sheets.
Equipment that does not form a fixed part of the
ComfoAir comes with its own manual.
Copies of these manuals can be obtained from the
supplier.
Safety instructions
Always comply with safety regulations in this manual.
Personal injury or damage to the ComfoAir can arise
from non-compliance with the safety regulations,
warnings, comments and instructions in this manual.
■ The ComfoAir may only be fitted, connected,
commissioned and set up by a registered installer;
■ Installation of the ComfoAir must be carried
out in accordance with the general and locally
applicable construction, safety and installation
instructions of the local council, electricity and
water boards;
■ Always follow the safety regulations, warnings,
comments and instructions given in this manual;.
■ Store the manual in the vicinity of the ComfoAir for
its entire working life;.
■ Instructions with regard to cleaning or replacing
the filters must be carefully observed;
■ Modifications to the ComfoAir or its manual are
not permitted;
■ The ComfoAir is only suitable for a 230V 50/60Hz
power supply. With the exception of the ComfoAir
XL 6000, which is suitable for 400V 50/60Hz;
■ The ComfoAir must be connected to a an
independent circuit in the fuse box;
■ When carrying out any work on the ComfoAir,
make sure the power is disconnected and cannot
be inadvertently reconnected.
Safety provisions and measures
■ The unit cannot be opened without the use of
tools;
■ It must not be possible to touch the fans by hand,
which is why ducts of a sufficient length must be
connected to the ComfoAir.
