6.3 Final procedures at charging column
After installation and commissioning, you must carry out
the following steps:
f Check the firm seating of water discharge hoses.
f Insert the front plate in the basic enclosure and
interlock the front plate with the turning lever.
f Remove the key from the cylinder lock and check the
interlock.
f Close the cover plate and interlock cover plate and
cover lock on the back of the charging column.
f Remove any protective film from the enclosure of the
charging station.

Start-up is now complete and the charging column is
operational.

Risk of injury by unsuitable aids
Use of adapter plugs, extensions, or additional charging
cables in connection with the device can result in electric
shock or cable fire.
f Use only the charging cable intended for the vehicle
and the device.
f Do not use adapter plugs, extensions, or additional
charging cables to charge the vehicle.

Starting the charging process
f Make sure that vehicle and charging cable are suitable
for mode 3 charging.
f Connect the charging cable to the vehicle.
f Insert the plug fully into the charging socket type 2 of
the charging station.
f Insert the key.
f Activate the key-operated push-button.
The system can be activated also with an external
transducer (e.g. pay and display ticket machine).
The charging station locks the charging plug mechani-

cally. The vehicle signals the charging station that it is
ready for charging. The charging process starts.
