General Safety Instruction
FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS BELOW CAREFULLY IN
ORDER TO SECURE A HIGH DEGREE OF SAFETY:
Read and understand the operating instructions before
using the appliance. Abide by all the safety measures stated
in the service manual. Act responsibly toward third parties.
The pump is not suited for long-run operation (e.g. as
a circulation pump in ponds or streams). When used in
this manner, its service life is curtailed correspondingly.
In these cases, then, use a time switch to secure
sufficient idle periods between cycles of operation.
Do not leave the pump unattended while in operation
in order to prevent subsequent damages caused by
eventual malfunctions. Make sure to disconnect the
device from the grid if you do not plan on using it.
The pump must not be connected to the existing
water-supply network as a pressure-boosting device.
Do not let the pump unattended to prevent any
damage as a result of any malfunction. Unplug the pump
if not being used.
Caution: Operation is only allowed with a safety
switch against stray current (max. stray current of 30 mA
according to VDE regulation, part 702). Please ask
your electrician.
Caution: In any case, the pump must not be operated
without fills.
•
The user is responsible to third persons in respect of
using the pump (waterwork, etc.).

must correspond with electric network voltage.
•
If the pump is used in ponds, wells, etc. and appropriate
waterworks, standards applicable for the use of pumps in the
given country must necessarily be met.
•
Pumps used outdoors (e.g. ponds, etc.) must be fitted with
a H07RNF type rubber connecting cable according to DIN

•
When the pump is being operated, no people or
animals may be present in the liquid or plunged in the
liquid (e.g. pools, cellars, etc.) .

If an extension cable is used, such cable must be out of
H07RNF type rubber according to DIN 57282 or DIN
57245 standards. Never touch, lift or carry by cable a
pump that is plugged. It is necessary to make sure the
connecting socket is away from water and moisture and
that the plug is protected against moisture.
•
Before putting the pump into operation, check whether
the electric cable and/or socket are not damaged.
•
Unplug the pump before any work on it.
•
Never touch, lift or carry by cable a pump that is
plugged! (pic. E)
•
To prevent or avoid any damage (e.g. flooded
rooms, etc.) as a result of defective operation of the
pump (failures or defects), the owner (user) is
obliged to take reasonable safety measures (alarm
installation, reserve pump, etc.).
•
If the pump is defective, a repair may only be executed
by authorised service staff. Original spare parts to be
