8.
Screw the fastening screw (9), beware of the correct sitting do not draw up yet.
9.
Chain stretching screw (7) should be turned until the chain is tensioned as appropriate (it should be possible to rise it up from
the guide strip by 3 mm approximately).
10. Draw up the fastening screw (9).
It is necessary to disconnect the unit from the current source before assembly.
Check and tension of chain pre-set (Fig. 3)
The correct tension of the chain is very important and it is necessary to be checked before the work is started and in the course of
cutting. The correct saw chain set-up needs sufficient time: it will be rewarded with better performance and longer service life of
the saw.
Notice: A new chain and a new guide strip should be re-adjusted after some five cuts. In the period of running in, it is normal,
afterwards, the intervals of adjustment will increase fast.
The chain tension is correct if the chain may be lifted above the strip by 3 mm as a maximum. The chain should not be slacked on
the lower side of the strip. If the chain tension is not correct, proceed as follows:
1.
Put the unit on a firm ground.
2.
Loosen the fastening screw with hand so that the chain tension screw may be turned (7).
3.
Draw the chain tension screw (7) up with hand. The chain gets tensed. It will get tensed clockwise while loosened anticlock-
wise.
4.
After adjustment, move the chain on the strip here and there, GLOVES, to be sure that it is able to move freely and precisely
tuned with the toothed driving wheel.
5.
Notice: If the chain may be moved with difficulties only or of it is impossible, the tension of the chain is too big and the chain
should be loosened to release, turn the fastening screw to the left. Move the chain to both the sides until it moves freely.
6.
Set the tip of the guide strip horizontally with the unit and draw the fastening screw up (9).
7.
Notice: The saw chain – particularly if new - will get longer at work and its tension should be set-up at times. It is normal that
the correct tension should be checked more frequently in the course of run-in.
Notice: The chain tension, if too little, may result in its releasing from the strip in the course of cutting or premature
wear of the guide strip or the chain. Too big tension of the chain may damage the saw. Both the situations – the little
and big tension of the chain may result in serious injuries.
Oil tank refill (Fig. 9)
Caution: Use only the saw chain environment friendly oil to be got at a specialised vendor!
Sufficient lubrication in operation is important to minimise the friction of the chain in the guide strip. In case of a chain automatic
lubrication, it is not necessary to set the amount of oil. The closure of the oil tank should be closed tight well so that no air does
not leak in. That could make a negative effect on the oil flow.
Oil level check
1.
Check the oil level before every use and every 10 minutes of operation.
2.
Put the unit on a firm ground.
3.
Wait for about 1 minute before the oil level check.
4.
The oil should reach to MIN mark on the sight glass at least (Fig 9)
5.
If the oil does not reach the mark MIN, it should be replenished.
6.
Use only the environment friendly saw chain oil.
Notice: The guide strips should be never operated without lubrication. If the saw is operated dry or lubrication is not sufficient, it
results in smaller cutting performance, shorter service life of the chain and excessive wear of the guide strip by
overheating.
OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS
- Plug the unit in by a suitable extension cable.
- Remove the chain cover.
- Hold the unit with both your hands, hold both the handles. In this way, the best possible control of the unit is provided.
- The unit is determined for cutting dry wood only.
- If it is for the first time that you operate the unit, it is recommended to work with a sawhorse
- Never start cutting before the saw speed is full and the tooth stop pushes into the material to be cut.
- Always begin a new cut. Never cut onto old kerfs for the work to proceed more quickly.
Saw Start-up
1.
Provide for the chain brake unloosen. The motor cannot be started up if the chain brake is activated. The chain brake will get
unstressed by pulling the brake lever (1) in the direction of motor.
NOTICE: Mind the use of extension cables of the right type and right parameters (3 x 1,5 mm
2.
The loophole to hold the extension cable is to be found in the handle with the switch and it is designed to
prevent the cable from ripping out of the handle. To make use of this possibility, just turn the extension cable some 30 cm
before the end and put it in the handle. Hook on the resulting loop of double cable. Slightly pull the cable to see that it is well
attached in the holding loop of the handle. Connect the power cable to the extension cable socket.
3.
The saw shall be operated with both the hands (Release the brake of the chain). Your thumbs and finger should clasp both
the handles.
4.
Hold the safety switch pushed with your right thumb (3) and at the same time push the OFF/ON switch (4) on the main
handle (5). If you want to stop the saw, release the switch (4).
