Environmental Protection
Protect your environment
• Beware of animals and pets which might be
in the vicinity
• Remember that noise is harmful to the
environment. Always observe local laws and
regulations regarding the time and use of
motorized equipment
Important Operating Instructions
Approach blowing task with engine at idling
speed, then accelerate to full throttle.
- While operating the blower, no other person
should be within 15 metres (16 yards) of
the blower. Be aware of nearby children and
animals. Objects in the airstream can
bounce off solid objects and injure nearby
persons.
- Never work on unstable ground. Be mindful
of obstacles such as tree stumps, roots,
ditches etc. which increase the danger of
tripping or falling.
- Be especially careful when working on slopes.
- Never touch a hot muffler.

Maintenance and Care

Carburetor setting
The carburettor is adjusted at the factory.
Depending on the altitude where the blower is
being used (mountains area or lowlands) the
carburettor may have to be returned.
The catburettor is equipped with 3 adjustment
needles:
1. Idling Adjustment Set Screw (T)
2. Idling Mixture Adjustment Screw (L)
3. High Speed Mixture Adjustment Screw (H)
The adjustment range is limited for both the
idling mixture and high speed mixture screws.
Caution! Carburettors are adjusted
and tuned to achieve maximum
engine performance. An engine speed
measuring instrument is essential for any correct
carburettor adjustment!
To correctly adjust the carburettor, proceed as
follows:
a) Warm up engine
b) Adjust idling speed.
Find the highest idling speed with L-screw.
Once determined, slightly turn L-srew to the
left. Adjust idling speed with T-srew to
recommended idling speed. Check
by pressing and releasing throttle lever. If
there is any hesitation, turn L-screw
a fraction more to the left.
c) Adjust max. admissible engine speed:
Accelerate to full speed with warm engine.
Adjust the speed with H-srew to obtain the
recommended max. speed.
d) Re-check engine idling speed.
Caution! Carburettors should only
be adjusted by authorized
specialist repair shopis with
suitable measuring and adjustment
instruments!
Air Filter
4
The air filter prevents the intake of dirt and
debris, and lessens wear on the engine.
Regular service increases the life span of the
blower.
Check and clean air filter
When air filter is only slightly dirty (daily):
Shake out or blow away debris When air filter
is very dirty (weekly): Clean filter or replace if
necessary.
Clean air filter
Soiled air filters reduce the engine's efficiency.
They increase fuel consumption and cause
harmful substances to collect in the muffler
and exit into the air with the exhaust gas.
Furthermore, a dirty air filter makes the
starting of the engine more difficult.
The filter has to be cleaned daily if the blower is
used for a full working day. The cleaning
frequency increases with increased dust conditions.
A simple shaking-out is a good cleaning method.
If very dirty, the filter can also be cleaned with
compressed air. Gently blow from inside to
outside.
