1 GENERAL

COLIRIS II active infrared barriers are comprised of two identical columns equipped with mixed
cells that integrate both transmission and reception functions. They operate using D.I.S. (Dual
Interlaced Scanning) technology, which ensures maximum reliability.
The columns are installed facing each other over the distance to be protected. This creates an
invisible, imperceptible detection zone. The simultaneous interruption of adjacent cells (which thereby
prevents false alarms due to birds, falling leaves, etc.) triggers an intrusion alarm on the two columns.
Each barrier has 4 selectable, operating frequencies, which prevents any risk of interference between
them.
PRINCIPAL FEATURE COMMON TO ALL PRODUCTS IN THE LINE :
• Maximum outdoor range:
• Each product line is broken down into three heights: 1 m 10 cm, 1 m 50 cm and 1 m 90 cm.
• Fog detector with automatic exclusion of beams, signaling a slow decrease in the infrared
signal, standard equipment for the entire product line.
• 4 selectable frequencies make it possible to distinguish one barrier from another.
• Barriers equipped with 3 to 4 mixed cells for each direction permit operation using D.I.S.
technology.
• Integrated alignment tools on each column : optical sights, indicator lights and a buzzer
indicating the reception quality of the incoming signal.
• Thermostat controlled heating on all columns.
• Options:
- Power supply 230V AC /12V DC.
- Base for anchoring to floor, slab, etc. (provided with anchor bolts and template for
sealing).
- Overhead anti-intrusion (Anti-Tampering Cap).
