21. MAINTENANCE OF MACHINES

T IS IMPERATIVE THAT THE ELECTRICAL SUPPLY IS SHUT OFF DURING THE SERVICE ON THE
MACHINE
The importance of the daily cleaning is often ignored. A careless cleaning can have disastrous
consequences on the maintenance as well as the quality and taste of the coffee in the cup.
DAILY MAINTENANCE
- Remove filter holders and clean with a brush.
- Clean the hot water outlet with a scouring pad.
- Clean the steam outlet with a scouring pad; in order to keep the nozzle unblocked, use a needle
or pin and open the steam tap a few seconds to flush it clean.
- Clean the drain grating and basin
- Clean the sprinkler with the dummy filter : insert the dummy filter in a filter holder, lock it into
position and press simultaneously the key 5 (continuous flow) and 1 (1shot espresso) in order to
start the automatic cleaning cycles. Repeat the same procedure on each group.
WEEKLY MAINTENANCE
- Clean the sprinkler with the dummy filter : insert the dummy filter (with a cleaning tap (reference
466215)) in a filter holder, lock it into position and press simultaneously the key 5 (continuous
flow) and 1 (1shot espresso) in order to start the automatic cleaning cycles.
- Remove the filter holder and push the key 2 shots espresso in order to evacuate cleaning
product.
- Insert the dummy filter (without cleaning tap) in a filter holder, lock it into position and press
simultaneously the key 5 (continuous flow) and 1 (1shot espresso) in order to start the automatic
rinsing cycles.
- Repeat the same procedure on each group.
- Wash the filter holders in water in order to unblock the holes (never use a pin or a flame to
unblock them).
RECOMMENDATION
Before servicing the machine:

Switch the machine OFF and remove the plug.

Shut off the main water supply (with the cut off tap)

To await that the pressure gauge indicates zero to be on there is no pressure and from
risks of burns.
Remark: any other means of cancelling the pressure in the boiler must be carried out by an
approved technician.

22. PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE

It is significant not to neglect the maintenance of your machine. The intensive use of your
machine can influence the frequency of the maintenance actions.
We suggest, once per annum at least, to replace the seals of your machine (non-return valves,
limitings device of pressure, group gaskets) and to carry out a complete cleaning of the coffee
groups head (sprinklers, diffusors, solenoid valves).
