3.2. PREPARING FOR USE

The temperature of environment must not be higher than
40°C and the relative humidity should be less than 85%.
Ensure good ventilation in the room in which the device
is used. The distance between each side of the device and
the wall or other objects should be at least 10 cm. Keep
the device away from hot surfaces. Operate the device
on flat, stable, clean, fire-resistant and dry surfaces out of
the reach of children and people with mental disabilities.
Install the device making sure that the main plug is always
accessible (for the models SBS-TW-10000, SBS-LW-500,
SBS-LW-10000 in case of the device connected to the
mains using the power supply). Ensure that the power
supply for the device does not exceed the recommended
range. The scale may be used only in an environment
without draughts, corrosion, vibrations, high temperatures
or humidity. Before the first use, clean the scale pan and the
container for weighing objects (if any).
Battery installation
PLEASE NOTE! Before battery installation, make
sure that the device is switched off and disconnected
from the power supply (for the models SBS-
TW-10000, SBS-LW-500, SBS-LW-10000).
a)
Turn the device upside down.
b)
Open the battery compartment.
c)
Insert the batteries into the battery compartment
according to the polarization markings on the
batteries and the device.
d)
Close the battery compartment and turn the device
right side up.

3.3. DEVICE USE

NOTE! Exceeding the maximum load of the scale
can result in device damage.
Weighing
a)
Connect the device to the mains (for the models
SBS-TW-10000, SBS-LW-500, SBS-LW-10000) or use
the batteries.
b)
Press the ON/OFF button [A].
c)
Wait until the value "zero" is displayed.
d)
Put the object carefully on the scale pan.
e)
After the several seconds, the scale will become
stabilized and you can read the weight of the
weighed object on the display.
Overload
If the maximum scale load is exceeded, the display will
show the message "O_Ld".
Change of the unit
To change the unit of measure, use the button MODE
[B] (for the models SBS-TW-10000, SBS-LW-500, SBS-
LW-10000) or M [B] (for the models SBS-TW-3000, SBS-
TW-500).
Taring
a)
Switch off the scale and put the container where the
object to be weighed will be placed on it.

b)
Once the scale is stabilised, press the button TARE
[D] for the models SBS-TW-10000, SBS-LW-500, SBS-
LW-10000) or T [D] (for the models SBS-TW-3000,
SBS-TW-500).
c)
The display will show zero value and you can weigh
the objects inserted in the container.
Counting objects
a)
Press the button PCS [C] and hold it down for several
seconds.
b)
Use the button MODE [B] (for the models SBS-
TW-10000, SBS-LW-500, SBS-LW-10000) or M [B] (for
the models SBS-TW-3000, SBS-TW-500) to choose
the number of objects.
c)
Put the preset number of objects on the scale pan.
d)
Press the button PCS [C]
e)
Place the objects to be counted based on their
weight on the scale pan. Remember that the total
weight of the objects put on the scale must not
exceed the permissible device load.
Automatic switching off
The device will switch off automatically if it is not used for
several minutes (in case of battery-operated device).
Instructions for use
Do not leave weights on the scale for long periods
of time.
Avoid extreme temperatures. The scale must not
be exposed to direct sunlight or placed near air
conditioning systems.
Avoid strong electric or magnetic fields.
Make sure that the scale is placed on a stable surface
and it is not exposed to vibrations.
Do not place the scale near open windows or doors,
air conditioning systems or fans that can cause
unstable measurement results due to improper air
circulation.
Keep the scale clean. Do not place any objects on the
scale when it is not in use.
If the scale is not being used for a long time,
disconnect it from the power supply and remove the
batteries.

3.4. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

a)
Before each cleaning, adjustment, replacement
of accessories and if the device is not being used,
disconnect the power plug.
b)
Use non-corrosive cleaners to clean each surface
c)
After each cleaning, all parts should be dried before
reusing the device.
d)
Store the unit in a dry, cool place, free from moisture
and direct exposure to sunlight.
e)
Never spray the device with water jets.
f)
Use a soft moist cloth for cleaning.
g)
Do not leave the battery in the device if it is not being
used for a long period.
h)
If the scale display shows the message "Lo" after
switching on or nothing can be seen, replace the
battery.
i)
Do not leave any load on the scale pan when the
device is not being used.
j)
Do not store the scale vertically (on its side).
k)
Do not submerge the device in water; water must
not be allowed to penetrate the interior of the device
casing.
