Selecting a program
To select a program, run your hand along the line from right to left or from
left to right. The selected program will start to flash and the clock will show
the preset cooking time (for non-automatic programs).
Cooking time
To change the cooking time, wait until the clock on the display starts to flash
(in 3 seconds after the program has been selected) and then run your hand
along the line from left to right to increase, or from right to left to reduce, the
cooking time. To make the digits change faster, stop your hand when running
along the line and hold your finger at one place for 1 to 2 seconds.
For program-specific time increments and intervals, please refer to the ta-
ble 1.
NOTE
The cooking time for "Cereals", "Express" and "Risotto" programs will be
set automatically depending on the amount of ingredients.
Cooking temperature
For most of the programs, the cooking temperature is fixed as specified in
the table 1.
For "Chef" and "Children's Menu" programs, you can change the cooking
temperature. To do so, press the "Temperature" button on the control panel
until the display shows the desired value. Holding the button will make va-
lues change faster. For temperature increments and intervals, please refer
to the table 1.
Setting the timer
Use the Timer function to have your meal cooked at a specific time.
1. Select a program and set the cooking time.
2. Press the "Timer" button on the control panel. The display will read
"Ready Time" and the digits will start to flash.
3. Set the time you want your dish to be ready at.
4. Press the "Start" button to confirm the settings.
WARNING
Before setting the timer, make sure that the clock shows the correct cur-
rent time.
NOTE
Not available for "Fry", "Express", "Self-Cleaning" and "Warm Up" pro-
grams.
Precautions and recommendations:
• When using the Timer function, make sure that the time interval between
the current time and the time the timer is set to is sufficient to cook your
dish.
• If the timer setting does not provide enough time to cook a dish, the func-
tion will not work and the dish will be cooked for extra time automatically.
FOR EXAMPLE
The current time is 5.00 pm. You select the "Soup" program, set the cooking
time at 30 minutes and set the timer to 5.20 pm. In this case, the cooking
program will continue to run until 5.30 pm.
• If the timer setting is less than the current time, the dish will be cooked by
the selected time on the next day. For example: The current time is 5.00
pm. You set the timer to 4.00 pm. In this case, the dish will be cooked by
4.00 pm on the next day.
• Some ingredients can go bad if the time delay is too long. Try not to set
the timer to the maximum time without a pressing need.
• Do not use the timer immediately after a cooking cycle before the Multi
Cooker has completely cooled down. Otherwise, the cooking result may
be unsatisfactory.
EXAMPLE
Ragout should be ready by 7.30 pm.
Place the necessary ingredients into the inner pot and close the lid. Select
the "Ragout" program and set the cooking time, for example to 1 hour. Press
the "Timer" button. The display will read "Ready Time" and the digits will
start to flash again. Set the time to "7.30 pm" using the Touch Line and
press the "Start" button. The display will show the Ragout icon and will
read "Ready Time 7.30 pm", and the Touch Line indication will be fully lit. In
this case, the cooking cycle will start at 6.30 pm and end at 7.30. The display
will read "Remaining Time: 01.00", indicate the cooking process and show
the current process status.
At the end of the cooking cycle, the Multi Cooker will switch to the Keep
Warm function.
Starting the program
Once the settings are done, press the "Start" button to start cooking.
The display will show the selected cooking program, the remaining time,
cooking indication and the current process status.
If you fail to press the "Start" button after the program has been selected
and the cooking time has been set, the Multi Cooker will beep periodically
to remind you to do so.
Cancellation
To cancel the cooking or settings entered, press and hold the "Cancel" but-
ton until the Multi Cooker returns to the standby mode.
