Check the machine for any damage Before using
the equipment again, the protective equipment
must carefully be checked if safe and working as
designated.
Check the moving parts for perfect functioning, if
working smoothly and if no parts are damaged. To
provide safe operation of the equipment, all parts
must be installed properly and meet all conditions.
Damaged protective equipment and parts must be
professionally repaired or replaced by a recognised
professional workshop, unless otherwise specified
in the Operating Instructions.
Damaged switches must be replaced in a customer
service workshop.
Do not use electric tools with a defective switch.
An electric tool that cannot be switched on or off is
dangerous and must be repaired.
Have your electric tool repaired by an electrician.
This electric tools complies with the relevant safety
regulations. Repairs may only be carried out by an
electrician using genuine spare parts; otherwise the
user may suffer accidents.
WARNING The use of other tools and other accessories
may pose an injury risk for you.
Safety Warnings Band Saw
Wear ear protectors. Exposure to noise can cause
hearing loss.
Use protective equipment. Always wear safety
glasses when working with the machine. The use of
protective clothing is recommended, such as dust
mask, protective gloves, sturdy non-slip footwear
and ear defenders.
Wear gloves when handling saw blades and rough
materials.
The dust produced when using this tool may be
harmful to health. Do not inhale the dust. Use a dust
absorption system and wear a suitable dust protec-
tion mask. Remove deposited dust thoroughly, e.g.
with a vacuum cleaner.
Connect the saw to a dust-collecting device when
sawing wood.
Before using the tool please read the instructions. If
possible have the tool demonstrated.
Before every sawing process, make sure that the
machine is in a stable position. Keep the floor area
free of loose material e.g. chips and cut-offs.
WARNING: Use only genuine saw bands. Do not use
damaged or deformed bands.
Do not use saw blades not corresponding to the key
data given in these instructions for use.
It is necessary to select a saw blade which is suitable
for the material being cut.
Set the speed to suit the material you wish to cut.
Always use the protective shields on the machine.
The saw may only be used when the protective
equipment is functioning properly, in good condi-
tion and in the correct position.
WARNING: Do not start the electric tool if the separa-
ting guard which protects the saw band is open.
WARNING: Do not clean the saw band while it is
running.
Never reach into the danger area of the machine
when it is running. Refrain from removing any cut-
offs or other parts of the workpiece from the cutting
area whilst the machine is running and the saw head
is not in the rest position.
Support large panels to minimise the risk of blade
pinching and kickback. Large panels tend to sag un-
der their own weight. Supports must be placed under
the panel on both sides, near the line of cut and near
the edge of the panel.
Any faults with the machine, including any related to
the safeguard or the saw blades, must be reported to
the persons in charge of safety as soon as the faults
are discovered.
In the event of a blockage, switch off the machine
immediately. Pull out the mains plug and remove the
jammed workpiece.
Chips and splinters must not be removed while the
machine is running.
The push rod or the handle for a push rod should
always be stored at the machine when not in use.
WARNING: Do not use protective equipment to
transport or lift.

Mains Connection

Operation is only allowed with a safety
switch against stray current (RCD max. stray
current of 30mA).
Connect only to single-phase AC system voltage as
indicated on the rating plate. It is also possible to
connect to sockets without an earthing contact as
the design conforms to safety class II. Only plug-in
when machine is switched off.
Maintenance
Unplug the machine before any work on it.
Carry out a visual inspection before switching the
appliance on.
The appliance must not be used if damaged or safety
equipment is defective. Replace any worn-out and
damaged parts.
Caution! If the power cord of the appliance gets
damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer
or its customer service or a similarly qualified person
to avoid danger.
Repairs and works specified in these Instructions may
only be performed by qualified authorised staff.
Use only original accessories and original spare parts.
Be sure to disconnect the tool from the power supply
before attaching or removing the saw blade.
Replace the table insert when worn
