Observe the instructions on loading the
vehicle as described in the „Seats and
stowage" section of your vehicle Operating
Instructions.
The softcover is not intended to secure a
load.
Do not attach loads directly to the softcover.
Use the lashing eyelets on the load area to
secure loads.
Do not place any loads on the softcover.
Do not sit or take up place on the softcover.
Driving
Before driving, the softcover must be either
closed or completely opened. The open
softcover must be secured in place, see
„Opening the softcover".
Maintenance
Only use water and a mild detergent to clean
the softcover.
Lubricate dry moving parts of the locking
mechanism using Vaseline.
Adjusting the profile strips
Open softcover 1; see „Opening the

softcover".

Tighten clamps a of profile strips 4 with

a torque of 4 ft lb (5 Nm).
For the first time, after 621 miles

Cleaning and care
Observe the notes on cleaning and care in
the „Maintenance and care" section of the
vehicle Operating Instructions.
With the softcover installed, you can drive
through an automatic car wash. When doing
so, the softcover must be closed.
Take care that the softcover does not come
into contact with substances or liquids which
could corrode the plastic. If this happens,
clean the softcover with plenty of water and
a mild detergent.
