SECTION 11
Maintenance
WARNING
Before carrying out any maintenance work, make sure that the power supply is disconnected from the main
source: the electrical parts may be connected to an automatic controller.
1.
Checks, inspections and maintenance must be carried out by qualified personnel, authorized to operate
2.
During the operations of maintenance, repair and cleaning, always use personal protective equipment (e.g.
gloves sufficiently resistant to mechanical hazards) to reduce the risk of injury in the event of contact with the
sharp edges of the metal sheets or with the finned pack.
3.
Do not carry out maintenance work in case of bad weather.
4.
After disconnecting the power supply, wait 5 minutes before opening the motorfan connection box.
5.
Under no circumstances should you perform any work on the model without first disconnecting the power
supply. Disconnect and discharge energy sources. Put the main switch in the "0 OFF" position and lock it with a
padlock; the key must be kept by the maintenance technician until the end of the intervention. Wait until all the
fans have stopped turning.
6.
For the maintenance of any accessories or components mounted on the model, refer to the relative user
manuals.
7.
After each maintenance intervention, carry out the checks before start-up according to SECTION 9 and after
start-up according to SECTION 10.
8.
During the dismantling and scrapping phases, make sure to use the appropriate personal protective equipment
(see Section 12).
9.
Make sure that the circuits are completely emptied and the fluids disposed of correctly.
10. Pay special attention to sharp edges.
Monthly interventions:
1.
if a fan is turned off for a long time, it should be turned on for at least two hours each month to remove any trace
of moisture inside the motor.
2.
check the cleanliness of the finned pack at least once a month.
3.
check that there are no leaks of coolant at least once a month or as soon as deemed necessary.
Interventions every six months:
1.
it is recommended to check, at least once every six months, that the electrical connection, the grounding and
the components subject to most wear (motors, switches) work fine.
2.
it is recommended to check, at least once every six months, that all electrical and mechanical parts are in good
working order.
3.
clean the surfaces of the finned block and the fans at least once every six months or whenever necessary (see
"Cleaning the finned pack").
Annual interventions:
1.
check that no electrical connection terminals are loose, in particular the grounding terminal.
2.
check the condition of the connection cables: they must not be twisted and the insulation must be intact.
3.
check the correct functioning of the safety, control and monitoring devices of the plant.
4.
check the fixing of the panels and the fans.
