Important

1. Carefully read all the information present in this manual before removing the packaging, before handling,
assembling, positioning, commissioning of the model and before performing any work on it. If in doubt please
contact the manufacturer.
2. This manual is an integral part of the product and must be kept for the entire lifespan of the model.
3. The manufacturer declines all responsibility for damage to persons and property caused by failure to follow all
the instructions contained in this manual.
4. The model must be used only for the purpose for which it has been expressly designed.
5. This manual must be kept available near the model for the entire life of the same.
6. The usage of fluids or substances which could corrode, make unsafe or reduce the performance of the model is
prohibited.
7. It is forbidden to modify or tamper with the components of the model.
8. Walking or climbing on the model is strictly forbidden.
9. The Customer is solely responsible for compliance with the regulations relating to installation and operation of
the model.
10. The usage of a fluid other than that indicated in the technical documentation is strictly forbidden, voids the
warranties and could present possible chemical risks.
11. For any use other than that intended, please contact the Modine technical office.
12. Modine assumes no responsibility for any accidents, losses or damages resulting from improper use of the
equipment that must be properly installed, by qualified personnel, in accordance with the intended use and
subjected to preventive maintenance to protect the safety of persons, animals and property. The models are
compliant with the applicable ESRs of the Machinery Directive as required by the standard operating conditions
described in the manual.
13. It is responsibility of the installer/designer of the plant to comply with the current regulations and legislation and
to assess its safety before putting it into service.
14. Any operation other than that indicated in this manual must be previously agreed with Modine. Non-compliance
will void the warranty.
15. This manual reflects the state of the art at the time of the marketing of the product and therefore cannot be
regarded as inappropriate in case that the evolution of design and construction methods require the update of
the expressed data.
16. All the procedures described in this manual must be carried out by authorized and qualified personnel only, with
the necessary training and skills in accordance with EN 378. No persons under the influence of drugs, alcohol
or medicines that impair reflexes are allowed to perform any of these operations. Work is only permitted if an
order has been given for it.
17. If something unexpected happens, stop the model immediately and call for maintenance; do not restart the
model until normal operating conditions have been restored.
18. The design, construction and management of the refrigeration plant where the model is to be installed must
follow the requirements and criteria indicated in regulation EN 378.
19. The rules and safety requirements for the use of refrigerant fluids belonging to groups A1, A2L must be in
accordance with the provisions of EN 378 and the safety data sheets of each fluid used.
20. Prepare and plan emergency measures on the plant, e.g. install a fault signalling system, to avoid injury to
persons and damage to property.
SECTION 2

Applications

1. Product description: air-cooled condenser with radial motor fans suitable for condensing refrigerant fluids in
vapour-compression plants.
2. The product must not be put into service until the machine to which it is to be incorporated has been declared in
conformity with Directive 2006/42/EC, see "Declaration of incorporation". The product is defined as " Partly
completed machinery".
3. The product must only be used for the stated purpose: use other than that prescribed is to be considered
improper and exempts the manufacturer from all liability.
4. Use in unspecified operating conditions must be considered incorrect or improper.
5. Make sure that the fluids used are compatible with the materials used to construct the model.
