Replace the battery

Fire and explosion hazard. This equipment contains a high energy lithium battery which can ignite and
cause fire or explosion, even without power. To maintain the safety provided by the instrument
enclosure, the instrument enclosure covers must be installed and secured with the supplied hardware.
Explosion and fire hazard. Battery substitution is not permitted. Use only batteries that are supplied by
the instrument manufacturer.
Replace the battery when the battery does not hold power when charged. Use only the specified
battery supplied by the manufacturer.
1. Set the power to off.
2. Remove the battery cover. Refer to
3. Pull the battery out.
4. Make sure that there is no unwanted material around the battery or in the battery cover.
Debris on the sealing surfaces can let water in the battery compartment. Debris in the battery
cover can prevent air flow through the air pressure vent.
5. Keep the battery compartment dry when the battery is replaced.
If water gets into the battery compartment, remove the battery, pour the water out and fully dry
the compartment with a towel. Let the battery compartment air dry fully before use to prevent
corrosion.
6. Install the new battery in the same orientation as the removed battery. Refer to
on page 7.
7. Install the battery cover. Fully tighten the screws by hand.
8. Fully charge the new battery. Refer to
Replace the dust covers
When closed, the dust covers keep unwanted material and water out of the connectors. Replace the
dust covers when worn or damaged.
To replace a dust cover, remove the screw that attaches the dust cover to the instrument. Attach a
new dust cover with a supplied screw.
