Communications SDI-12 communications module—Sets the:
Parameter Order
Change the parameters transmitted
Complete the steps below to change one or more of the settings that follow:
• The parameters transmitted
• The measurement units transmitted
• The sequence the parameters are transmitted
1. Push until three or four dots show at the top of the screen.
2. Push the RIGHT arrow until "Communications Module" shows at the top of the display.
3. Select Settings>Parameter Order, then push OK.
4. Select Erase Table to erase the parameters shown.
5. To change the measurement units transmitted, change the measurement units that are selected
in the sensor settings as follows:
a. Push .
b. Push the RIGHT arrow until "Sonde HL" shows at the top of the display.
c. Sensors>[Select Sensor]>Parameters.
d. When no more changes are necessary, do steps 1–3.
6. Push OK, then select Add Row to add a parameter.
7. Select the first parameter to transmit, then push OK.
8. Push the RIGHT arrow, then enter values for the settings that follow:
• Resolution (number of significant digits) transmitted for the parameter (1–9)

RS232 or RS485 Modbus communications modules— Sets the:
• Address for the instrument (1–254)
• Baud rate (1200, 2400, 4800, 9600 or 19,200)
• Data bits (7 or 8)
• Stop bits (1 or 2)
• Parity (none, odd or even)
RS232 TTY communications module— Sets the:
• Sample rate (1-3600 seconds)
• Baud rate (9600, 19200, 38400, 57600, 115200)
• Data bits (7 or 8)
• Stop bits (1 or 2)
• Parity (none, odd or even)
• Update interval (1-3600 seconds)
• Time Stamp format (e.g., HHMMSS or DDMMYYYYHHMMSS)
Shows the parameters and the measurement units transmitted. The parameters are
transmitted in the sequence that shows on the display. The first parameter that shows is
transmitted first.
