b. Select Install the software automatically (Recommended), then click Next. No CD is
necessary.
Windows installs the software driver for the instrument.
4. Start the Hydrolab Operating Software on the PC. The connected instrument shows in the
Connect to Device field.
Note: If step 3 is not done at initial installation, the instrument will not show in the Connect to Device field.
5. Select the instrument, then click Connect.

Disconnect from a PC
1. Select File>Disconnect from Device to disconnect the instrument from the Hydrolab Operating
Software.
Note: As an alternative, click Devices, select the instrument, and then click Disconnect.
2. Click the Safely Remove Hardware icon at the bottom of the Windows screen and select the
instrument.
3. After "Safe To Remove Hardware" shows, disconnect the USB cable from the instrument and PC.

Maintenance

Multiple hazards. Only qualified personnel must conduct the tasks described in this section of the
document.
Do not disassemble the instrument for maintenance. If the internal components must be cleaned or repaired,
contact the manufacturer.
Clean the instrument
Clean the exterior of the instrument with a moist cloth and a mild soap solution and then wipe the
instrument dry.
