1. Push
until three or four dots show at the top of the screen.
2. Push the RIGHT arrow until "Sonde HL" shows at the top of the display.
3. Select Monitoring>Real-time. Real-time measurements show.
4. Push
, then select Create New Log.
a. Select Name, then enter a unique file name for the log file.
b. Optional: Add user, location and/or office information to the log file.
c. Push the RIGHT arrow to save the changes.
5. To start saving real-time measurements to the log file, push OK. A folder icon shows at the
bottom of the display.
Note: The number of measurements saved to the log file shows at the bottom of the display.
6. To stop saving measurements to the log file, push OK. The log file is saved on the instrument.

Depth profile monitoring
Use depth profile monitoring to capture and save measurements at selected depths.
Note: A sonde with the optional depth sensor is necessary to do depth profile monitoring.
Make a new depth profile
Select the settings for the depth profile.
1. Push
until three or four dots show at the top of the screen.
2. Push the RIGHT arrow until "Sonde HL" shows at the top of the display.
3. Select Monitoring>Depth Profile.
4. Select the depth profile settings. Select an option, then push OK.
Optional: Select a depth profile template to add the template settings to the depth profile. Push
and then select Template.

Depth profile measurements are shown in three different views on the display: list view, graph view
and grid view. Refer to

Set the minimum measurement depth.
Set the depth increment between measurements.
For example, the depth increment is 10 m and the direction is top to bottom, the first
measurement is at the surface measurement depth, the second measurement is at
10 m.
Set the maximum measurement depth.
Top to Bottom—Measurements are done from the surface measurement depth to the
bottom measurement depth. Bottom to Top—Measurements are done from the
bottom measurement depth to the surface measurement depth.
When set to on, a status icon shows at the bottom of the display that identifies if the
measurement is stable or not stable. Refer to
descriptions.
A measurement is identified as stable when it is within the selected stability criteria for
the parameter. To change the stability check criteria, push
Criteria.
