Configuring Your System
Internal Mouse:
There are two options to this field: Enabled, and Disabled. In general, you should
choose Enabled.
Suspend Warning Tone:
There are two options to this field: Enabled, and Disabled. In general, you should
choose Enabled to allow system to issue Suspend Warning Tone during/before entering
suspend.
Intel (R) SpeedStep (TM) Technology:
There are three options to this field: Automatic, Disabled, and Battery opt.. This is a
state-of-the-art power rationing feature supported by Intel's latest SpeedStep CPU
(Pentium III 600/650/700/750MHz) whereby the CPU would be able to switch between
full speed and optimized, as defined below:
Intel CPU Type
Pentium III SpeedStep 600MHz
Pentium III SpeedStep 650MHz
Pentium III SpeedStep 700MHz
Pentium III SpeedStep 750MHz
Depending on how the system is powered, either by AC source or by battery pack, the
SpeedStep CPU would switch its CPU speed as according to the three options listed
below:
