Saving device settings
The HF device features seven memories, to which device settings (op-
erational modes, activation modes, dosage settings etc.) can be saved
individually.
Change to the menu Memory by pressing function key
Seven individually allocatable memories are available there.
To call up one of the seven memories: Briefly (< 2 s) press the cor-
responding function key
To save the present device settings in one of the seven memories:
Hold down the corresponding function key
2 seconds.
The menu Name Setting is displayed:
Use the function keys for entering the memory name (available
characters: A—Z, 1—9, special characters, blank spaces).
Confirm the name of the memory with the function key
return to the main menu.
The name and number of the memory
left side of the display. If at this point the saved settings are al-
tered, the memory name and number will be deleted.
To interrupt the Save function: Press the function key
for 30 seconds.
The previous data remains in the memory.
Calling up suggested (default) dosages
Device settings concerning certain applications are stored in another
seven memories. Starting from these settings, the parameters can be
changed individually. However, the content of the preset memories
will not be changed.
Fixed default settings of the seven preset memories:
• GEN-SURG — Memory 8: General surgery
• GYN — Memory 9: Gynecology
(Activation is divided between two outputs!)
• NEURO — Memory 10: Neurosurgery
• ARTHRO — Memory 11: Arthroscopy
• UROLOGY — Memory 12: Urology
• ARGON-O — Memory 13: Argon function for General Surgery
• ARGON-E — Memory 14: Argon function for endoscopy

left side of the display. If at this point the device settings are al-
tered, the memory name and number will be deleted.
Connecting the accessories
Combinations of accessories that are not mentioned in the instruc-
tions for use may only be employed if they are appropriate for the in-
and
tended application and if they do not negatively impact performance
parameters or safety requirements.
The insulation on the accessories (e.g., HF cables, instruments) must be
sufficient for their maximum peak output voltage (see IEC 60601-2-18).
Do not connect the accessory cable before the device has been
switched on.
Connect the foot pedal plug at foot pedal connection socket 11.
Connect the plug of the neutral electrode cable at neutral elec-
trode connection socket 12.
Connect the potential equalization to potential equalization con-
nector 22.
To assign the data interface 18: Only connect cables and accesso-
ries identified by Aesculap as intended to be used for this purpose.
(For specifications, see the instructions for use of the accessory,
e.g. argon control unit GN 370).
Please address your Aesculap partner or Aesculap Technical Service
with any inquiries in this respect.
Exercise extreme caution when using a double
foot pedal.
Listen for the acoustic signal for CUT or COAG.
Avoid contact between tissues and the deacti-
vated instrument.
