Connecting active electrodes
Various plugs can be connected to the active output sockets 7, 8, 9
and 10. The permissible plug-socket combinations are listed in the fol-
lowing.
Output sockets HF - bipolar 1 and 2

When plugging in the monopolar 4-mm plugs, care
has to be taken that the correct socket is used;
otherwise, error 48

ing the HF current.
Risk for patients and users due to accidental cur-
rent supply to an instrument!
Make certain that not more than 1 patient cable

Connecting the foot pedal
The foot pedal plug and the connection socket foot pedal 11 are
marked with an arrow each. To be able to connect the plug to the con-
nection socket correctly, these two arrows must point to each other.
User settings (Menu User Settings)
In the User Settings menu, the following settings can be changed:
• Type of neutral electrode
– Type 1: non-divided neutral electrode;

– Type 2: divided neutral electrode;

– Type 3: Reusable, divided neutral electrode (GN 320);

• Acoustic signal volume
– Acoustic signal during activation: Range 40—100 %
– Warning signal: no settings option, always 100 %
• Date/Time
– Date in the format: DD.MM.YY
– Time in the format: hh:mm
• Maximum HF switching time
– 30 seconds (default setting)
– 45 seconds
– 60 seconds
– 20 s for automatic switch-off with autoCOAG Short (fixed value)
