Carrying case
The carrying case allows the patient to carry the equipment. It should contain everything the
patient needs to perform a recording.
Check that the special USB cable which serves to connect the recorder to a
computer is NOT included in the carrying case when it is handed over to the
patient!
The case should contain the following items:√ la notice patient,
√ the patient leaflet,
√ the recorder (with charged battery),
√ a fastening belt,
√ the mandibular movement sensor,
√ adhesive tape strips (of hypoallergenic type) to secure the probes of the mandibular move-
ment sensor on the forehead and on the chin.
Additional adhesive tape (of hypoallergenic type) can be applied to hold the cables in place.
Recommendations to be given to the patient
To ensure that the recording takes place under the best possible conditions and to avoid
damage or misuse, it is advised to explain to the patient how to operate the device and how to
position the sensor.
If the device is to be used on a child, make sure that a responsible adult is
clearly shown how to install the cables. The proper installation of cables is
important particularly in children to avoid any risk of strangulation. Avoid that
cables are left loose around the patient's neck. It is recommended to secure
the cables either with adhesive strips or by slipping an additional shirt over
the device and the sensor cables.
Before the patient carries the device home, give him/her the corresponding patient leaflet and
call his/her attention to the warnings and notices indicated in the leaflet.
