• Avoid using the recorder near a device emitting strong electromagnetic interference.
• It is recommended not to use the device on patients with pacemakers or similar equipment.
• Use only the accessories provided or approved by Nomics. In particular, only the mandibular
movement sensor (NS405), the ECG module (NS922), the Xpod module from Nonin (NS920),
and the special USB cable (NS921) provided by Nomics may be connected to the recorder's
inputs. Only oximetry sensors of the Nonin brand should be connected to the Xpod module.
The use of accessories or equipment other than those specified by the manufacturer can lead
to malfunctions, increased electromagnetic emissions or decreased immunity, and/or damag-
es and will void the guarantee. Please note that Nomics declines all responsibility for any loss
or damage derived from the use of accessories or equipment that has not been approved.
• Do not use any defective device or accessories. Replace damaged, worn or contaminated
items.
• The device may only be opened by qualified personnel authorized by Nomics, otherwise the
warranty is voided.
• The device contains a rechargeable lithium polymer battery. Like any other type of battery,
the battery can leak, overheat or cause a fire if its internal components are damaged. If the
device is handled with care, there is no probability of an incident. Therefore, please observe
the following guidelines:
√ The battery may not be replaced, except by the manufacturer itself.
√ Do not expose the device to fire or high temperatures over 60°C (140°F). Do not leave the
device inside a vehicle or in direct sunlight.
√ Do not expose the device to water, or to moisture, or operate it with wet hands. Do not use if
liquid has entered the device.
√ Do not subject the device to strong impacts.
√ Do not attempt to use or charge a damaged device; the protective packaging of the battery
could be ruptured or pierced.
√ Do not use the device if the battery has leaked. If fluid from the battery makes contact
with your eyes or skin, immediately rinse with clear water (at least during 15 minutes) and
contact a doctor. Wash your clothes if they have been contaminated.
√ Only use the special USB cable provided by Nomics to recharge the battery. Only plug this
cable into the USB port of a computer or a USB charger.
