7.1 General errors

Symptom/message
Liquid drips out of
the pipette.
Aspiration capacity

No functional period
despite fully
charged battery.
Pipette loose.
Bubble formation in

liquid aspiration.

Cause
• Pipette adapter and/or
membrane filter
inserted incorrectly.
• Pipette not inserted
far enough.
• Pipette adapter
damaged.
• Pipette damaged.
• Seal damaged.
• Liquid column
too high.
• Speed too low.
• Membrane filter
wetted.
• Battery is too old.
• Pipette adapter damaged.
• Speed too high.
• Rechargeable battery
is charged.
Remedy
›
Remove the pipette adapter
and membrane filter and
reinsert them.
›
Continue to carefully insert the
pipette.
›
Replace pipette adapter.
›
Replace pipette.
›
Replace seal.
›
Slowly press the aspirating button
down further.
›
Replace membrane filter.
›
Replace battery.
›
Replace pipette adapter
›
Apply less pressure to the aspirating
button.
›
Disconnect the Power supply.
›
Only recharge the battery if the
status display is blinking.
