USER INSTRUCTIONS 1.1 Using this manual These instructions for the use of exchangeable thermoblocks are a sup- plement to the operating manual for the Mixer HC. They are not intended as a replacement for that operating manual. Therefore, please also read the operating manual of the Mixer HC before using the exchangeable thermoblock for the first time. -

3 INTENDED USE The exchangeable thermoblocks are intended exclusively for indoor use to hold tubes and plates during sample preparation. The exchangeable thermoblocks must only be operated by appropriately qualified and instructed personnel. Carefully read the operating manual before working with the exchangeable thermoblocks and familiarize yourself with their use. - Page 5 4.1.1 Exchangeable thermoblocks for micro test tubes (microcentrifuge / cryogenic / microtubes) 1. Place the exchangeable thermoblock (2) on the thermosocket with both flat edges and the writing facing the front. 2. Tighten the captive screws (1). 4.1.2 Exchangeable thermoblock for Multiwell Plates / Deepwell Plates Caution! Microplates melt at extremely high temperatures.
- Page 6 4.1.3 Adapter plate for 0.2 ml tubes or 96-well PCR plates Remove the lock washers (4) from the short screws in the exchange- able thermoblock. Remove the short screws. Connect the adapter plate (2) to the MTP thermoblock (3) using the long screws (1).

4.2 Inserting tubes and plates Caution! Microplates melt at extremely high temperatures. Only heat microplates made of polystyrene to a maximum 70 °C. Place the tubes or plate on the thermoblock by pressing gently down. For optimum temperature control, transfer the micro test tubes to the exchangeable thermoblocks using Iso-Racks. - Page 8 5.2 Disinfection / Decontamination Disinfect the unit. Select a disinfection method which complies with the legal require- ments and regulations applicable to your range of application. Wipe the surfaces with the lint-free cloth and disinfectant. If you are shipping the unit to the authorised Technical Service for repairs or to your local distributor for disposal, please note the following: Warning! BENUTZERHINWEISE 1.1 Anwendung dieser Anleitung Diese Gebrauchsanweisung für Wechselblöcke ist eine Ergänzung zur Bedienungsanleitung des Mixer HC und ersetzt diese nicht. Bevor Sie den Wechselblock das erste Mal benutzen, lesen Sie daher auch die Bedienungsanleitung des entsprechenden Geräts. 2 PRODUKTBESCHREIBUNG 2.1 Produkteigenschaften Das Wechselblocksystem für den Mixer HC ermöglicht das komfortable Temperieren und Mischen aller gängigen Laborgefäße. -

3 BESTIMMUNGSGEMÄSSER GEBRAUCH Die Wechselblöcke sind ausschließlich für die Verwendung in Innenräu- men bestimmt und dienen bei der Probenvorbereitung zur Aufnahme von Gefäßen und Platten. Die Wechselblöcke dürfen nur durch entsprechend qualifiziertes und geschultes Fachpersonal bedient werden. Lesen Sie vor dem Arbeiten mit den Wechselblöcken die Bedienungsanleitung sorgfältig durch und machen Sie sich mit der Anwendung vertraut. -

4.1.1 Wechselblöcke für Reaktionsgefäße 1. Den Wechselblock (2) mit beiden abgeflachten Kanten und der Beschriftung nach vorne zeigend auf die Heiz-/Kühlplatte setzen. 2. Die unverlierbaren Schrauben (1) anziehen. 4.1.2 Mikrotestplatten -Wechselblock Vorsicht! Schmelzen von Mikrotestplatten durch überhöhte Temperaturen. Temperieren Sie Mikrotestplatten aus Polystyrol bis maximal 70 °C. -

4.1.3 Adapterplatte für 0,2-ml-Gefäße oder 96-Well- PCR-Platten Die Sicherungsscheiben (4) von den kurzen Schrauben im Wechselb- lock entfernen. Die kurzen Schrauben entnehmen. Die Adapterplatte (2) und den MTP-Wechselblock (3) mit den langen Schrauben (1) verbinden. Die Schrauben mit den Sicherungsscheiben von unten sichern. Die Sicherungsscheiben verhindern, dass die Schrauben aus den Bohrungen fallen, wenn der Wechselblock nicht auf dem Gerät befestigt ist. -

4.2 Gefäße und Platten einsetzen Vorsicht! Schmelzen von Mikrotestplatten durch überhöhte Temperaturen. Temperieren Sie Mikrotestplatten aus Polystyrol bis maximal 70 °C. Den passenden Wechselblock auswählen und montieren Die Gefäße oder Platte auf den Wechselblock setzen. Um eine optimale Temperierung zu erreichen, die Reaktionsgefäße in Iso-Racks auf die Wechselblöcke übertragen. - Page 14 5.2 Desinfektion / Dekontamination Das Gerät reinigen. Eine Desinfektionsmethode wählen, die den für Ihren Anwendungs- bereich geltenden gesetzlichen Bestimmungen und Richtlinien entspricht. Die Oberflächen mit dem fusselfreien Tuch mit Desinfektionsmittel abwischen. Wenn Sie das Gerät im Reparaturfall zum autorisierten Technischen Ser- vice oder im Entsorgungsfall zu Ihrem Vertragshändler schicken, beachten Sie bitte Folgendes: Warnung! Gesundheitsgefahr durch kontaminiertes Gerät.

3 UTILISATION CORRECTE Les thermoblocs doivent être utilisés exclusivement en intérieur et ser- vent à préparer des échantillons dans des tubes et plaques. Les thermoblocs doivent être utilisés par des spécialistes. Avant d’utiliser les thermoblocs, veuillez lire attentivement le mode d’emploi afin de vous familiariser avec leur fonctionnement. -

4.1.1 Thermoblocs interchangeables pour microtubes et cryotubes 1. Posez le thermobloc interchangeable (2) aux deux bords plats et au marquage indiqué à l‘avant sur le thermosocle. 2. Serrez les vis imperdables (1). 4.1.2 Thermobloc interchangeable MTP Attention! Les plaques de microtitration fondent à températures trop élevées. -

4.1.3 P laques d‘adaptation pour microtubes de 0,2 ml ou plaques à 96 puits PCR Ôtez les rondelles d‘arrêt (4) des vis courtes dans le thermobloc interchangeable. Ôtez les vis courtes. Assemblez la plaque d‘adaptation (2) et le thermobloc MTP (3) avec les vis longues (1). Bloquez les vis avec les rondelles d‘arrêt par le bas. Les rondelles d‘arrêt évitent de perdre les vis quand le thermobloc interchangeable n‘est pas fixé... -

4.2 Mettre en place les microtubes et les plaques Attention! Les plaques fondent à températures trop élevées. Soumettez les plaques en polystyrène à thermostatisation à une température maximale de 70 °C. Posez les tubes ou la plaque sur le thermobloc interchangeable. Pour obtenir une thermostatisation optimale, placez les microtubes dans des Iso-Racks sur les thermoblocs interchangeables. - Page 20 5.2 Désinfection / Décontamination Nettoyez l‘appareil. Choisissez une méthode de désinfection répondant aux règlements et aux directives légaux dans votre domaine d‘application. Essuyez les surfaces avec le chiffon non pelucheux et du désinfec- tant. 3 DESTINAZIONE D’USO I termoblocchi intercambiabili sono destinati esclusivamente per uso in- terno, per alloggiare tubi e piastre durante la preparazione del campione. I termoblocchi intercambiabili devono essere utilizzati esclusivamente da personale adeguatamente istruito e qualificato. Leggere attentamente il manuale prima di iniziare ad utilizzare i termob- locchi intercambiabili e familiarizzare con il loro uso. - Page 23 4.1.1 Termoblocchi intercambiabili per provette micro (microcentrifuga /criogenia / provette micro) 1. Posizionare il termoblocco intercambiabile (2) sull’elemento risca dante con entrambi i bordi piatti e la scritta posizionati davanti. 2. Serrare le viti di bloccaggio (1). 4.1.2 Termoblocchi per piastre Multiwell / piastre Deepwell Attenzione! Le micropiastre fondono a temperature estrema- mente elevate.
- Page 24 4.1.3 Piastra adattatore per provette da 0.2 ml o piastre PCR da 96 pozzetti. Rimuovere la rondella (4) dalla vite corta nel termoblocco intercam- biabile. Rimuovere la vite corta. Innestare l’adattore (2) al termoblocco MTP (3) usando le viti lunghe (1).
- Page 25 4.2 Inserire tubi e piastre Attenzione! Le micropiastre fondono a temperature estrema- mente elevate. In caso di utilizzo di piastre in polistirene scaldarle fino ad un massimo di 70°C. Posizionare i tubi o le piastre nel termoblocco premendo lievemente verso il basso. Per un migliore controllo della temperatura, trasferire le micropro- vette nel termoblocco usando l’Iso-Rack.
- Page 26 5.2 Disinfezione / Decontaminazione Disinfettare lo strumento. ESelezionare un metodo di disinfezione che sia conforme alle disposizioni in materia legale e regolamentari applicabili alla vostra gamma di strumenti. Pulire utilizzando il disinfettante ed un panno privo di lanuggine. Se si rendesse necessaria, per ripararlo, la spedizione dello strumento ad un servizio tecnico autorizzato o al vostro distributore locale per lo smalti- mento, seguire gentilmente le note sottostanti.
