The meter is switched on or off by pushing the "ON/OFF" key.
After switching on, the meter is in the operating state "measure pH" or
"measure mV", depending on the state the meter was active in when it was
switched off. If temperature was active when the meter was switched off, then
"pH" is the measured variable when the meter is switched on.
After switching on the meter the automatic switching off function becomes
active. The meter switches off 30 minutes after the last key operation. If the
meter is switched off during calibration after calibrating P1, the old calibrating
data remains, even if P1 was successfully calibrated.

If the meter shows no reaction to pressing the keys, it must be reset. Remove
the batteries from the meter, wait about 60 minutes and put in the batteries
again. After a Reset, the calibration data of the pH electrode are set to
standard values.

Maintenance The device is maintenance free.
Clean the housing with a cloth lightly dipped in soapy water. Rub dry.
Batteries Only leak-proof alkaline batteries, type LR6, size "AA", Mignon (1.5V) must be
used.
The meter does not work with 1.2 V mignon accumulators.
Low battery condition is indicated by marker "Low Bat".
When changing batteries, the meter should be in standby condition: this
ensures that pH calibration data is not lost if batteries are replaced within
5 minutes.
