CAUTION
• Implement corresponding protective measures if the
metered medium is hazardous!
• Shut off piping system and discharge (empty)!
• Empty backpressure valve and flush with neutral medium!
To disassemble backpressure valve (see Fig. 4):
Set valve in upright position.
Turn up (not completely) pressure relief screw (15).
Release lock nut (14) and unscrew adjusting screw (13).
Release housing screws (12) at valve body (1) and spring dome
(2) and remove.
Lift off spring dome (2).
Unscrew cap nut (16).
Unscrew pressure relief screw (15) a little then turn down in
order to press the diaphragm (5) out of spring dome (2).
Unscrew pressure relief screw (15) from valve spindle (9).
Pull diaphragm (5) together with valve spindle (9), spring (3) and
washer (6) out of the spring dome.
Examine the diaphragm for signs of changes. If in doubt
replace!
Reassemble in reverse order of removal.
Tightening torque for housing screws:
6 Nm (for greased screws)
NOTE
Recheck the tightening torque of the screws after 24 h operation!
