Relieving pressure
Every 6 months:

Insert the pump intake hose in a measuring cylinder with the
metered medium – the delivery hose must be installed in a posi-
tion corresponding to its final position (operating pressure, ..!)
Draw in the metered medium. When the intake hose is empty
note down the level in the measuring cylinder.
At the same time start a stopwatch and the pump.
Simultaneously stop timer and pump after expiry of an adequate
period of time.
Determine the delivered volume (difference between initial
volume and remaining volume) and calculate the delivery
capacity.
If the flow rate of the pump has not been reached given maximum
back pressure, remove the pressure setting screws by 1/2 turn and
repeat the steps described above.
To relieve pressure, turn the pressure relief knob down to the
pressure adjusting screw and then one further turn.
If the pressure is not relieved, this indicates that the pressure
adjusting screw was not locked correctly. Correctly adjust the
setting pressure once again and lock the adjusting screw correctly
(see instructions above).

Maintenance

CAUTION
The required maintenance interval may be shorter depending
on the metered medium and the operating conditions!
Check the internal parts of the backpressure valve (especially the
diaphragm and the valve seat seal). Disassemble the backpressure
valve for this purpose (see "Repairs").
