A pressure gauge must be installed in the piping system in order to
be able to set the pressure exactly (see "Installation examples").
Unscrew the pressure relief knob up to the upper stop
Unscrew the pressure adjusting screw up to the upper stop
Check whether the lock screw is set against the upper stop
Open the shut-off elements in the pressure line
Switch on the metering pump
Set the required operating pressure by screwing in the pressure
adjusting screw
(read off setting pressure at pressure gauge)
Completely turn down the lock screw and lock the pressure
adjusting screw .
Check for a short time whether the adjusted operating pressure
remains constant and whether the screwed connections at the
plant do not leak.

CAUTION
Implement corresponding protective measures if the metered
medium is hazardous!
NOTE
Nothing can happen with ProMinent solenoid metering pumps with
regard to the procedure described in the following, provided the
flow rate is not too low because of excessively high back pressure.
The backpressure valve must be set above the delivery capacity as
no pressure gauge is installed between the pump and
backpressure valve. The backpressure valve should be set such
that the achieved delivery capacity corresponds to the delivery
capacity of the pump at medium to maximum backpressure.
