Mounting the Cutting

Preparations
Lay your power tool on its back so

that the cutting attachment
mounting face is pointing up.
Fitting the Thrust Plate

Fit the thrust plate (1) and guard
N
washer (2) on the shaft (3).
Your power tool comes from the factory
with a guard ring (4) for mowing
attachments.
The thrust plate (1) on the gearbox is
necessary for mounting all cutting
attachments.

The thrust washer (2) on the gearbox is
necessary for mounting all cutting
attachments with the exception of
circular saw blades.
Cleaning Gearbox Mounting Hardware
for Cutting Attachment
Check inside of guard ring (4) and area
around it for dirt at regular intervals, or
when you change the cutting
attachment, and clean if necessary as
follows:
Pull the guard washer (2) and thrust
N
plate (1) off the shaft.
Thoroughly clean the guard ring (4),
N
shaft (3), thrust plate (1) and guard
washer (2) – do not remove the
guard ring.
Mounting the Cutting Attachment
Use a deflector that matches the cutting
attachment – see "Mounting the
Deflector".

Use guard ring for mowing

attachments.
Mount deflector for mowing heads.

Block the drive shaft.

Screw the mowing head
N
counterclockwise onto the shaft (1)
and tighten it down firmly.
Remove the tool used to block the shaft.
Keep the instruction sheet for the
mowing head in a safe place.
Removing the Mowing Head
Block the drive shaft.

Unscrew the mowing head
N
clockwise.
