5. Install:
• Timing chain tensioner gasket 1
• Timing chain tensioner 2

NOTE:
• Be sure to install the timing chain tensioner gas-
ket so that its section with the "L" mark a is pro-
truding from the lower left side of the timing chain
tensioner.
• The arrow mark b on the timing chain tensioner
should face up.
6. Turn:
• Crankshaft
(several turns clockwise)
7. Inspect:
• "I" mark
Make sure the "I" mark a on the AC magneto
rotor is aligned with the stationary pointer b
on the AC magneto cover.
• Camshaft holes
Make sure the holes c in the cylinder #3 -
cam are aligned with the arrow marks d on
the camshaft caps.
Out of alignment → Adjust.
Refer to the installation steps above.

8. Measure:
• Valve clearance
Out of specification → Adjust.
Refer to "VALVE CLEARANCE ADJUST-
MENT" in CHAPTER 2.
