• The hoist stops moving when the emergency stop button (9) is pressed. In the event of an emergency, press the
emergency stop button (9) immediately to stop the hoist from moving. To resume use, release the emergency stop
button by turning it in the direction of the arrow.
The hoist motor (2) features a thermostat to prevent it from overheating. For example, the motor may stop
when the hoist is used in strong sunlight. If the motor stops, wait for it to cool down and switch back on
automatically.
11. Care and cleaning
Never use aggressive detergents, rubbing alcohol or other chemical solutions, as these could damage the
housing or stop the product from functioning properly.
• Always disconnect the mains plug before cleaning the product.
• Clean the appliance after each use. Clean the appliance regularly with a damp cloth and some detergent (soap or
washing-up liquid). Do not allow water to get inside the appliance.
• Keep all safety devices, ventilation slots and the motor housing free from dust and dirt.
• Rub the device with a clean cloth or blow it with compressed air at low pressure.
12. Maintenance
a) General information
• The product must be repaired by qualified technicians using original replacement parts.
• Warning! Always ensure that the hoist is disconnected from the power supply before carrying out repair work.
• Check that the limit/stop switch is working properly at periodic intervals (at least once per year and no more than
every 20 hours of use).
One cycle is equivalent to moving a load up and down once. A periodic test should be conducted after
100 cycles. To perform a test, follow the steps below:
• When the rope reaches the maximum height, the stop switch lever (13) should move and turn off the motor (2).
Always conduct the test without a load.
• The limit switch lever (14) should move and turn off the motor (2) when the rope (12) has unwound as far as
possible.
• Regularly check the mains cable (5) and control cable (4) for signs of damage.
• Check that the screws, mounting brackets (1) and pulley (17) are securely in place every 1000 cycles.
• Check that the hooks (10/18) and pulley (17) are in good condition every 1000 cycles.
• Lubricate the steel rope (12), pulley (17), gear mechanism, bearings and hook (10/18) with oil after 200 cycles.
