• If the brakes fail and the load drops quickly, touch the emergency stop button (9) immediately. You can also use
the emergency stop button (9) to turn off the hoist in any other dangerous scenario. To reset the emergency stop
button, turn it in the direction of the arrow.
• The rated power of the hoist does not vary with the position of the load.
• Inspect the frame, steel rope, hook and electrical components for signs of damage.
• The cable hoist is not designed for periods of prolonged use. Use the following formula to calculate the maximum
operating time: Operating mode S3 - 20% - 10 minutes. S3 = Intermittent operation without considering the start-up
process. This means that during a 10-minute period, the maximum operating time must not exceed 20 % of the
reference period (2.0 minutes)
• Automatic shut-off: The limit switch automatically turns off the motor when the highest/lowest position of the steel
rope/hook is reached.
10. Using the hoist
a) Preliminary information
Caution! Before first use, remove the adhesive tape from the rope on the drum (15). The adhesive tape
holds the rope in place during transport.
• The A-weighted noise level at the point of use is less than 75 dB.
• The supply voltage should conform to the following specifications: 230 V ± 10 %, 50 Hz ± 1 %.
• The cable hoist can be used at temperatures between 0 °C and 40 °C with a relative humidity of less than 85%. The
height above sea level should not exceed 1000 m.
• The hoist can be stored and transported at temperatures between -25 °C and 55 °C. The temperature must not
exceed 70 °C.
• Ensure that the load is lifted from the floor at the lowest speed. The rope must be kept taut until you have finished
lifting the load.
• The hoist motor (2) features a thermostat that automatically switches the motor off when it gets too hot. The motor
will switch back on again after it has cooled down.
• Do not leave hanging loads unattended without taking appropriate safety precautions.
• Only use the stop/limit switch (13/14) in an emergency. Always ensure that the small bolt in in front of the stop switch
lever (13) is securely in place. Do not lose this part.
• Before you begin, ensure that the steel rope (12) is wrapped around the drum (15) correctly and that the distance
between the coils is smaller than the diameter of the rope (see diagram in "b) Operation").
• Ensure that the load is secured to the hook (10) (or loading hook (18) when used as a pulley). Always keep your
distance from the load and rope (12).
