3.) Fasteners
Also refer to the Lanyards (MAT-BA-0144-00) instructions when
using additional lanyards...
3...1 a+b) The length should not be adjusted and slacking the rope or
anchoring should not be performed in areas with risk of falling,
whilst the length of webbing slings is generally not adjustable...
3...2) The total length of the fastener (including attenuator and
connecting elements) must not exceed the values listed in Table
3...2...
3...3) Two-strand fasteners (with only one fall attenuator) must only
be connected with both ends at the same height...
3...4) Two single-strand fasteners (with one fall attenuator each)
must not be connected with both ends at the same height...
3...5) With two-stranded fasteners (using onyl one fall attenuator) the
loose strand should not be fastened to the strap, to prevent short-
circuit of the strands... For more information, please refer to the
manual of the respective fastener...
4.) Use as anchor sling
4...1) The maximum forces in the structure that occur in the event of
a fall depend on the energy absorber used... The force absorbed by
the structure corresponds to the maximum force to which the
energy absorber reduces the fall load...
4.2) Comply with the maximum deflection value of the arrester
device and the displacement of the load fastening point...
5.) Use as a rear eyelet extension to make it easier to put on and
take off without help, as a connection to the rear eyelet with a
fastener... Fasten to the rear eyelet on the safety harness before
putting on the harness... With the Velcro fastener, attach the A band
to one of the shoulder straps... Where necessary, hang the fastener
in the D ring of the A band for security... Ensure that all carabiners
are firmly locked. WARNING: ensure the permissible total length of
the fastener is respected!
6.) Application examples BEAMSTRAP
6.1) Guide the small ring through the large ring and pull tight.
6...2) To shorten the loop, loop it several times around the structure,
avoiding any sagging...
6...3) Pull the large ring tight under the structure, avoiding any
transverse loading on the ring (6...4)...
6...5) Do not position the ring on the side of the structure...
6...6, 6...7) Do not hang carabiners in both rings, avoid any transverse
load on the carabiners...
