Using for the first time
Filling with fuel
DANGER! Risk of injury! Petrol is
highly inflammable!
Before refuelling, switch off the
motor and let it cool down.
Closely observe all safety informa-
tion for handling fuel.
NOTICE! Risk of product damage!
The product is supplied without
motor oil.
Make sure it is filled with motor oil
before using for the first time.
Note: Use only appropriate fuel
(► Usable fuels and lubricants –
p. 48).
► P. 4, item 2
– Open and remove the tank cover (14).
– Carefully top up the fuel (tank capacity:
► Technical data – p. 48). Do not spill!
– Check the seal in the tank cover for dam-
age and clean if necessary. Replace a
damaged seal immediately!
– Re-tighten the tank cover (14) by hand.
Filling with motor oil
Note: Only use engine oil approved
by the manufacturer (► Usable fuels
and lubricants – p. 48).
► P. 4, item 2
– Unscrew and remove the motor oil filling
plug (13).
– Carefully top up the motor oil (amount of
engine oil: ► Technical data – p. 48). Do
not spill!
– Re-tighten the motor oil filling plug (13) by
hand.
Set the steering height:
► P. 6, item 7
– Loosen the screws (37).
– Set the required steering height.
– Tighten the screws.

Check before starting!
NOTICE! Risk of product damage!
The product is supplied without
motor oil.
Make sure it is filled with motor oil
before using for the first time.
Operating the motor with insufficient
oil will damage the motor.
Dirty oil or two-stroke motor oil
reduces the service life of the motor.
The motor oil must be changed after
the first five to eight operating hours.
Use the specified motor oil (► Usa-
ble fuels and lubricants – p. 48).
WARNING! Risk of injury! The
product must only be put into opera-
tion if no defects are found. Ensure
that any defective parts are replaced
before the product is used again.
Note: The product is equipped with
an oil level sensor. The engine will
not start if the oil level is too low. We
recommend filling the oil tank to
maximum (max. engine oil quantity:
► Technical data – p. 48)
Check the safe condition of the device:
– Check whether there is any leakage.
– Check whether there are any visible
defects.
– Check whether all parts of the product
are firmly attached.
– Check that the safety devices are in fault-
less condition.
Set the cutting height
► P. 7, item 8
– Loosen the screw on the skids (10).
– By shifting the skids in the long hole,
adjust the desired cutting height.
– Tighten the screw on the skids.

ting height in the following table:
