8. The insulation must be protected with an additional waterproof sheath
which is laid helically over the insulation to prevent moisture ingress.
9. Route the supply cable over the insulation towards the power supply. Here, note the following instructions:
- Fix both supply lines to the insulation, using aluminium adhesive tape.
- Route the cables so that they are out of the reach of animals.
- Cable ends (at plug or junction box) must be easily accessible for repair and maintenance work.
10. Connect both supply cables to the power supply.
Device type 222062: 230 V (IP54 junction box)
Device type 222063: 24 V (transformer required, see accessories)
11. Apply gnaw protection. (item number 221975, not included in the scope of delivery).

3.4 Drinking bowl with auxiliary pipe heating (222064 and 222065) – electrical installation
When shipped, the heating cable is fitted so that it can be used for
connection from the right. If connection from the left is required, loosen
the screws on the bottom of the drinking bowl, pull out the heating
cable cover downwards, pull the heating cable out of the heating cable
cover, and re-install in the heating cable cover in the reverse sequence.
Ensure that the heated end of the cable is placed at the top in the
intake.
Important! The float valve will remain frost-free only by means of a
heated water line or a circulation heating system. The auxiliary pipe
heating must be laid separately for types 222062 and 222063.
1. Before installation, read and comply with the safety instructions in these operating instructions.
2. Ensure that the area around the pipeline is easily accessible and that no sharp edges are present.
