• Clean the drinking bowl and cables using only a soft cloth or damp towel. The cloth or towel should be free of petrol
and/or other solvents, since these can attack or damage the plastic.
• Ensure that all metal parts which can come into contact with the heating cable are connected to the potential equalisa-
tion.
• Comply with these safety notes and warnings. Retain the safety and warning information for later extension or moni-
toring of the cable installation, and give the instructions to the person responsible for the regular visual inspections.
2. Description
2.1 Setup and functioning
Drinking bowl for animals, with integrated heating cable to keep the bowl and valve frost-free. With types 222064 and
222065, one of the two heating cable ends can be heated, and is intended for heating the water inlet.
The heating cable consists of a resistance heating element, a temperature switch and a cold cable end. With types
222062 and 222063, neither of the heating cable ends is heated. A temperature switch built-in for temperature control
is installed on the underside of the drinking bowl (black spot).
Within the specified temperature range, the heating cable keeps the bowl frost-free. The temperature switch integrated
into the heating cable switches the heating of the bowl on at around +5°C and off again at around +13°C. The cover on
the underside of the bowl and the closed construction in the area of the valve inlet have an insulating effect and prevent
heat emitted by the heating cable from escaping.
The 222050, 222055, 222064 and 222065 models are equipped with heating cables with an extended heating range
beyond the bowl (auxiliary pipe heating), which also keeps the water supply line frost-free for up to 2 metres.
