Sawing wood under tension
Sawing wood that is under tension
requires special care. Wood under tension
that is released from this force when
sawing sometimes reacts in a completely
uncontrolled way. Which can cause
extremely serious and even fatal injuries
(Fig. 15,16,17).
Such work can only be carried out by
properly trained specialists.
LIMPI EZA
Always unplug before carrying out any
cleaning work.
Minimize dirt and dust on safety devices,
ventilation slots and motor housing as
much as possible. Rub the device with a
clean cloth or blow it with compressed air,
keeping the pressure low.
It is recommended to clean the device
after every use.
Clean the appliance regularly with a
damp cloth and a little mild soap. Do not
use cleaning products or solvents as this
could damage the plastic parts of the
appliance. It is necessary to take into
account that no water enters the interior
of the device. If water enters the electrical
appliance, there will be a greater risk of
electric shock. Remove any residue
accumulated on the protective cover with
a brush.
Check automatic chain lubrication
Regularly check the operation of the
automatic chain lubrication in order to
avoid overheating and associated
damage to the bar and saw chain. To do
this, direct the end of the bar against a
smooth surface (board, incision in a tree)
and operate the chainsaw.
If an increasing trace of oil appears during
the process, then the automatic chain
lubrication works perfectly. If no clear
trace of oil appears, read the
corresponding instructions that appear in
the "Troubleshooting" chapter. If these
instructions are not helpful either, you will
need to contact our after-sales service or
a similar specialized workshop.
Do not touch the surface during the
process.
Maintain sufficient safety distance
(approx. 20 cm).
Sharpen the saw chain
Effective chainsaw work can only be
carried out if the saw chain is in optimal
condition and sharp.
This also reduces the risk of kickback.
The saw chain can be sharpened at any
dealer. Do not attempt to sharpen the
saw chain yourself if you do not have the
appropriate tool and the necessary
experience.
ANOMALIES AND REPAIR
In the event of a breakdown, take the
device to an authorized Technical
Assistance Service or contact Customer
Service on the website
www.casalstools.es.
Do not attempt to disassemble or repair it
as there may be danger. If the network
connection is damaged, it must be
replaced, proceed as in the case of a
breakdown.
