USE AND CARE OF POWER TOOLS Do
not overload the power tool. Use the
appropriate tool for your application.
The power tool will perform better and
safer if used within the specified power
range.
Do not use the tool if the on/off switch is
defective.
A power tool that cannot be turned on
and off via the switch is dangerous and
must be repaired.
Disconnect the mains plug and/or
remove the battery pack from the
power tool before making any
adjustments, changing accessories or
storing it.
This will prevent accidental starting of the
tool.
Store the power tool turned off out of
the reach of children and do not allow
persons unfamiliar with it, or these
instructions, to operate it.
Power tools are dangerous in the hands of
inexperienced users.
Maintain your power tool and its
accessories well. Check the alignment of
moving parts or jams, that there are no
broken parts or any other circumstance
that may affect the proper operation of
the power tool. If damaged, have the
power tool repaired before using it.
Many accidents are caused by poorly
maintained power tools.
Keep handles and gripping surfaces dry,
clean and free of oil and grease.
Slippery handles and gripping surfaces do
not allow for safe handling and control of
the tool in unexpected situations.
MAINTENANCE Maintenance of your
power tool must be carried out by a
properly qualified technician, using only
identical replacement parts.
Only in this way is the safety of the power
tool guaranteed.
SAFETY WARNINGS FOR CHAINSAWS
1) GENERAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Keep all parts of the body away from
the saw chain when the chain saw is in
operation. Before turning on the
chainsaw, make sure the saw chain is
not in contact with anything.
A moment of inattention while operating
chainsaws can cause your clothing or
body to become entangled in the saw
chain.
Always hold the chainsaw with your
right hand on the rear handle and your
left hand on the front handle.
Holding the chainsaw in the inverted hand
configuration increases the risk of
personal injury and should never be done.
Hold the power tool by the insulated
gripping surfaces only, as the saw chain
may come into contact with hidden
wires or its own cord.
Saw chains coming into contact with a live
wire can activate exposed metal parts of
the power tool and could shock the
operator.
Wear safety glasses and hearing
protection. It is recommended to use
additional protective equipment for the
head, hands, legs and feet.
