Storage

Store the device in a cool, dry place which is protected from direct sunlight and is out
of the reach of children and animals.
If you do not want to use the device for a prolonged period, remove the recharge-
able battery (4) to stay on the safe side (see section "Charging the rechargeable
battery").
Troubleshooting
If the device does not work properly, check whether you are able to rectify the problem
yourself. If the problem cannot be solved with the steps that are listed, contact the cus-
tomer service department.
Do not attempt to repair a electrical device yourself!
Problem
The device only operates
slowly or doesn't start.
The suction power is weak.
Dust escapes from the
device during cleaning.
The control light doesn't
illuminate when the device
is connected to the mains
supply.

2. Open and remove the latch.
3. Take out the brush and remove any contamination.
4. Reinsert the brush. When you do this, fi rst insert the end
with the star-shaped recess.
5. Insert the latch and slide the latch fastener back in place.
Possible cause / solution
•
Is the rechargeable battery (4) empty? Charge it.
•
Is the battery too weak? Charge up the battery.
•
Is the dust container (7) full? Empty it.
•
Are the fi lters heavily laden with dirt? Clean it in
accordance with the "Cleaning and storage" chapter.
•
Is the suction opening (8) plugged?
Turn off the device and remove the blockage.
•
It is also possible that some particles remain caught
in the carpet fl oor or that they are too large / too
heavy for the device to vacuum up. Simply remove
the debris by hand.
•
Check whether the dust container and fi lter have
been inserted correctly and adjust the fi t if necessary.
•
Check whether the dust container is closed correctly.
•
Are the fi lters heavily contaminated? Clean it in ac-
cordance with the "Cleaning and storage" chapter.
•
Are the fi lters worn or damaged? Replace the fi lters.
•
Is the mains adapter properly connected with the
socket and the barrel connector with the connector
jack on the device?
•
Is the socket defective? Try another socket.
•
Check the fuse for your mains connection.
