▶ Fastening the rack b2
• The rack and pinion must be fastened to the
gate brace.
• Use screws suitable for the material of your
gate (see page 8).
• Never lubricate the motor rack and pinion.
If you need to fasten the rack, you can raise the motor by a maximum of 30 mm.
• Remove the motor and the mounting plate from the studs.
• Insert a nut and washer on each stud, and position at the desired height (maximum 30 mm from
the ground).
• Replace the plate and motor on the studs.
• Check that the plate and motor are level.
• Open the gate completely.
• Fasten the first element of the rack.
1.3 Checking the installation of the motor
Check that:
• the motor is level.
• the gate runs correctly,
• the pinion is correctly driven.
• the 2 mm clearance between the rack and pinion
does not vary significantly .
• 2 mm clearance is
required between the
rack and the pinion.
• Using a ruler, fasten the following elements.
If these conditions are not satisfied, adjust the
height of the rack.
Once all these checks have been completed,
tighten the nuts to fasten the motor
permanently.
