Fast flashing of the status display:
Meaning: Cell/battery pack voltage outside of the allowed range. Connection to the charger is ended in
this case.
Possible causes:
- A cell voltage has exceeded 4.24V. After 5 seconds it is switched to standby mode. The reason is, for
instance, too high charging voltage in connection with cells in greatly differing condition in the battery
pack or a wrong sense plug assignment
- A cell voltage is smaller than 2.70V and there is no connection to a charger. The user can switch the
connection within 15 s after successful cell identification, otherwise the balancer switches to standby
mode.
- The overall voltage has exceeded 29.70V Wrongly set charging voltage or cell number on the charg-
er can cause this. If the fault is rectified, the balander restarts in single mode.
- The voltage loss via the charge line is too big. The connection to the charger is ended and after three
seconds of display, the balancer restarts in single mode. (observe shortest possible wiring suitable
for the charging voltage)
Cell dislays 1-7 (red light-emitting diodes)
A light display is assigned to every cell of the battery pack is (LED 1 - 7 for cells 1 - 7).
After switching on the device, the respective displays of the identified cells light up briefly three times.
Balancing then starts. The following applies:
Cell display OFF:
The associated cell currently has the lowest voltage is already balanced to its level.
Cell display light continuously:
The voltage of the associated cell is more than 15mV above the cell with the minimum voltage and is
therefore continuously discharged.
Cell display flashes or jitters:
The respective cell voltage differs only slightly from the target voltage.
Fuse replacement
The balancer input is protected by a 10 A standard FKS flat fuse. If the input has been overloaded the
fuse disengages. Charging is no longer possible. In this event, end the connection to the charger and
battery pack. You can then replace the broken fuse with a new one of the same type and nominal volt-
age. You must not bypass the fuse holder. Type of fuse: Standard flat fuse FKS 10 A./ 32V.
