The charging cycle, incl. balancing, is now complete and the battery pack is fit for purpose.
As long as the balancer is in connected mode, the device is not automatically in
standby mode. Therefore, only activate this mode for charging.
Discharging with balances in connected mode
(status display lights continuously)
This is possible in interplay with the balancer as with charging the battery pack. After cell identification,
the connection must also be established via the „POWER ON / MODE" key. The balancer tries to
equalise the cell voltages here too. In addition, he protects the batteries from deep discharge, by ending
the connection to the discharger at 2.6V at the latest and switching to standby mode.

Standby mode

(all light displays are off)
If a battery pack with sufficient voltage is connected, the balancer is initially in standby mode. The con-
nection to the charger or discharger is ended and the power consumption of the device dramatically
reduced.
If a critical error occurs (see next section), the device also switches to this mode.
Pressing the „POWER ON / MODE" key activates the balancer which starts cell identification.
Never leave the battery permanently connected to the balancer. Although power
consumption is very low in standby mode, this can result in damage to battery
due to deep discharge.
Behaviour of the balancer during critical overvoltage or
undervoltage:
The balancer prevents conditions which can result in damage or disruption by monitoring the voltages.
The device reacts to such conditions as follows:
- A cell exceeds 4.24V while charging: The connection to the charger is immediately ended and the
balancer switched to standby mode for safety reasons. This is first displayed via the fast flashing sta-
tus LED
This case can, for instance, occur for wrongly set parameters on the charger (cell number wrongly
selected, charging voltage too high), great voltage deviations, greatly differing capacities of the cells
within the battery pack or wrongly connected sense lines.
In this case, check the settings on your charger, reduce the charging voltage, if applicable, and check
the sense line for proper condition.
