Emptying the drainova® Reservoir
1.
For the following steps you will need scissors, a towel, the orange-co-
loured safety clasp, a plastic bag (e.g. the outer packaging in which the
drainova® Reservoir came in).
2.
Place the drainova® Reservoir on the floor. Open the pinch clamp and
lift up the tube. Residual fluid in the tube can now drain off.
3. Close the pinch clamp.
4.
Now cut through the tube below the one-way valve* (Fig.1). Dispose of
the cut-off piece of tube with the pinch clamp and access tip. If neces-
sary, use the laid out cloth. To dispose of the collected fluid in the toilet,
en
position the reservoir upside down so that the tube opening is pointing
downwards above the toilet. You can start the emptying process by
compressing the reservoir.
Warning: Used products and effusion fluid may pose biological risks.
Therefore please observe the local and national regulations when dis-
posing of used products and fluid.
5. Once the reservoir is emptied and compressed, attach the orange safe-
ty catch. Make sure that, where possible, there is no remaining fluid in
the tube. Put the reservoir together with the drainage tubing into the
plastic bag provided.
6. Dispose of the bag in accordance with the local regulations.
