NOTICE
If the pressure is within the specifi cation and the pressure indicator LED (22)
lights white, it cannot always be assumed that the pressing tongs, the pressing
ring and the pressing segments were closed at the end of the pressing process.
Always check full closure in every pressing process, see 3.1.
3.7. Power supply unit (accessory art. no. 571535, 571565, 571567, 571578)
The power supply units are intended for mains operation of the cordless tools
in place of the battery. See the guidelines for use (Fig. 19) for the intended
use. The power supply units are equipped with overvoltage and temperature
protection. The operating state is indicated by a LED. A lit LED indicates that the
device is ready for operation. If the LED goes out or fl ashes, this indicates an
overcurrent or impermissible temperature. The drive unit cannot be used during
this time. After a dwell time, the LED lights again and work can be continued.
NOTICE
The power supply units are not suitable for outdoor use.
4. Maintenance
Notwithstanding the maintenance described below, it is recommended to have
the ROLLER'S drive units together with all tools (e.g. pressing tongs, Mini
pressing tongs, pressing rings with adapter tongs, Mini adapter tongs) and
accessories (e.g. batteries, rapid chargers, power supply units) sent to an
authorised ROLLER'S contract service workshop at least once a year for
inspection and periodic checking of electrical devices. In Germany, such peri-
odic testing of electrical devices should be performed in accordance with DIN
VDE 0701-0702 and also prescribed for mobile electrical equipment according
to the accident prevention rules DGUV, regulation 3 "Electrical Systems and
Equipment". In addition, the respective national safety provisions, rules and
regulations valid for the application site must be considered and observed.

into operation. If it is stuck or stiff, it may not be pressed. The drive unit must be handed over to an authorized ROLLER customer service workshop for inspection.

completing the pressing, check that the pressing segments (16) close fully at
"A" and on the opposite side "B" for the (PR-3S) pressing ring (Fig. 12) and the
XL (PR-3S) pressing ring. If a visible burr is created on the pressing sleeve

Keep the press tongs receptacle clean, in particular clean the press rollers (5)

machine oil. Check the functional safety of the drive unit regularly by making
a pressing with the press fi tting that requires the greatest pressing force. If the
pressing tongs, Mini pressing tongs, pressing ring or pressing segments close
completely in this pressing (see above), the drive unit is functioning reliably.

The gearbox of the drive unit in the ROLLER'S Uni-Press SE is maintenance -
-free. They operate in a permanent grease fi lling and therefore require no
lubrication. The motor of the ROLLER'S Uni-Press SE, ROLLER'S Uni-Press,
ROLLER'S Uni-Press ACC, ROLLER'S Uni-Press XL ACC has carbon brushes.
These are subject to wear and must therefore be inspected or replaced from
time to time. Only use genuine ROLLER'S carbon brushes. The ROLLER'S
Uni-Press SE drive unit has a safety slip clutch. This is subject to wear and
must therefore be checked and renewed from time to time. Use only an
original ROLLER'S safety slip clutch. In the battery-operated drive units, the
carbon brushes of the motor are subject to wear. These cannot be replaced;
the DC motor must be replaced. The sealing rings (O-rings) wear in all electro-
hydraulic drive units. These must therefore be checked and renewed from time
to time. If the pressing power is insuffi cient or oil is lost, the drive unit must be
inspected and if necessary repaired by an authorised ROLLER'S after-sales
service facility.
