3. Touch the barcode entry box at the top of the display (item D in the figure) so that a cursor ap-
pears inside.
4. Use your barcode scanner to scan a barcode.
The scanned barcode number appears in the barcode entry box.
5. Touch
to add the scanned barcode from the barcode entry box to the list of barcodes in
the batch.
6. Repeat steps 3 through 5 until you have scanned the barcodes on all the goods.
7. If desired, briefly describe why each item is being processed. This information will appear in
GearTrace™ production reports.
a. Touch the barcode number for the item you want to describe. The barcode number turns
green, and the "Description" button next to it becomes enabled.
b. Touch the "Description" button. The Barcode Description window (not shown) appears.
c. In the Barcode Description window, use the keypad to enter a description.
d. Touch
to save the description and close the Barcode Description window.
8. Enter the operator's initials. This information will appear in GearTrace™ production reports.
The operator's initials may or may not be required depending on your machine's configura-
tion settings.
