• At greater distances, the cleaning spiral
may wobble or become knotted.
Procedure
1. Set the direction of rotation switch (4)
to R.
2. Set the auxiliary handle (3) to F.
3. Press the On/Off switch (5).
4. Infinitely variable speed regulation:
The more you press the on/off switch
(5), the higher the speed/torque.
5. Let the cleaning spiral (1) extend so
far that it can be inserted into the pipe
opening.
6. Release the on/off switch (5).
7. Insert the cleaning spiral (1) into the
pipe opening.
8. Press the on/off switch (5) again to ex-
tend the cleaning spiral (1) further in
the pipe.
9. Loosen the blockage by extending and
retracting the cleaning spiral several
times (1). To retract, set the auxiliary
handle (3) to R.
10. Repeat the process until the pipe is
completely free.
11. When the blockage is loosened, re-
tract the cleaning spiral (1) again.
12. Release the on/off switch (5).
13. Flush the sewage pipe with sufficient
water.
Stubborn blockages
WARNING! Risk of injury! The clean-
ing spiral may twist or break. Do not force
the cleaning spiral into a blocked pipe.
Procedure
• If a stubborn blockage prevents the
cleaning spiral (1) from moving for-
ward:
1. Pull the cleaning spiral (1) back a short
distance.
2. Then push the cleaning spiral (1) for-
ward again.
32
In this way, the cleaning spiral can be
guided through a pipe bend or a curved
corner.
• If the blockage persists:
1. Set the direction of rotation switch (4)
to L.
2. Press the on/off switch (5) lightly (low
speed).
3. Infinitely variable speed regulation:
The more you press the on/off switch
(5), the higher the speed/torque.
4. Release the on/off switch (5) immedi-
ately if the cleaning spiral (1) can no
longer be turned.
5. Set the auxiliary handle (3) alternately
to F and R and press lightly on the on/
off switch (5) (low speed).
6. Check regularly whether the clean-
ing spiral (1) can be pulled out of the
pipe.
Notes
In anticlockwise rotation L, the direction
indicator (2) is reversed as in clockwise
rotation R (see Auxiliary handle (3),
p. 29).
Pull in the cleaning spiral (1)
Notes
Pull in the cleaning spiral slowly to avoid
splashes from drain pipes.
Procedure
1. Set the direction of rotation switch (4)
to R.
2. Set the auxiliary handle (3) to R.
3. Control the feed rate by adjusting the
pressure on the on/off switch (5).
4. Release the on/off switch as soon as
the cleaning spiral is pulled in.
