• Always hold the device with both
hands to avoid touching the cleaning
spiral.
• Do not set the direction of rotation
switch (4) to L unless the cleaning spir-
al is blocked or jammed in a pipe.
• Check that the pipe size is suitable for
the dimensions of the cleaning spiral
(Technical data, p. 23).
• If necessary, dismantle the siphon to
have better access to the blockage.
• Check that the plug (9a) of the drain
hole (9) is closed and tightened.

Cleaning procedure
Working on a blocked pipe
To clear a blockage, work with the clock-
wise rotation. The cleaning spiral is twis-
ted into the blockage like a corkscrew and
sticks to it. Blockages that do not stick to
the cleaning spiral are loosened from the
pipe by the rotation of the cleaning spiral.
Notes
Correct distance to the pipe opening:
• Hold the device far enough away from
the pipe opening so that you can ob-
serve the cleaning spiral (1) during op-
eration.
• Maximum distance: 15 cm
