Execution: Package each individual component to be treated in sterile barrier system or packaging in
accordance with EN 11607. Place the packaged components in the steam steriliser. Perform the sterili-
sation cycle in accordance with the instructions for use of the equipment by selecting a temperature of
134°C and a time of 4 minutes first.
Storage: Store sterilised components according to the instructions for use of the system or sterile bar-
rier packaging chosen.
SUCTION VALVE. The nasal douche is equipped with a suction valve (5c) to be cleaned when dirty.
To access the valve, lift the battery compartment cover and remove the valve by prying it off with a
pen (fig H); then wash the valve with water and detergent. Before reassembling, make sure the valve is
completely dry.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FOR THE HYGIENIC PREPARATION of the spray chamber (except for
the compressor body)
In order to prevent deposits from clogging the atomiser and spray chamber and thereby affecting the
function of the nasal douche, it is recommended that hygienic preparation be carried out after each use,
following the instructions in the instruction manual supplied with the nasal douche. After thoroughly
rinsing the parts under lukewarm tap water, shake them to remove any remaining water droplets. Then
place the pieces on a paper towel or dry them with a jet of hot air. ATTENTION: If your nasal douche
does not atomise correctly after hygienic preparation, do not use sharp tools (e.g. screwdrivers, scissors,
needles, hairpins, etc.) to try to clean or unclog the holes in the atomiser or spray chamber, as this may
damage these parts and impair the proper functioning of the unit. Instead, perform additional hygienic
preparation and sanitisation cycles as described in the instruction manual and recommended above,
until the nasal douche begins to function properly again.
